Check Out This Awesome Obi-Wan Kenobi Figure

Hot Toys and Star Wars enjoy the past with an impressive sixth-scale collectible figure that Ewan McGregor presents as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

McGregor, made famous by Sir Alec Guinness in the original Star Wars trilogy, put on his own pair of tunics to play a younger Kenobi and record the fall of Anakin Skywalker. Everyone has their own thoughts on George Lucas’ prequel trilogy, but it’s undeniable that McGregor was one of the shining stars of Episodes I-III. Along with McGregor’s best in Trainspotting and Moulin Rouge! Star Wars will always be remembered.

To remind McGregor, Sideshow Collectibles publishes Obi-Wan both in a normal and fancy way. It is a sixth-scale statue of the luxury version that comes with all the accessories you would expect from a Hot Toys statuette.

As described in the specifications, there are more than 30 articulation points, 8 hands for all obi-wan poses, and interchangeable graphics cards to get the scene right. Hot Toys has captured the character of McGregor from Episode IIII perfectly, and even in the years prior to his exile on Tatooine, Hot Toys came to rebuild his hairy beard.

It is noteworthy that the Revenge of the Sith Deluxe version weighs a baby Luke Skywalker and shows an illuminated hologram of Anakin’s bow in front of Emperor Palpatine. The standard version still has a LED lightsaber and a cut combat droid, but the Deluxe seems worth the extra money. Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan Deluxe can now be pre-booked for only $ 235 / $ 274 and are expected to ship in the first or second quarter of 2019.

As the fans recently saw with the launch of the Infinity War series, Hot Toys is a real eye-catcher when it comes to guessing every detail. Here you can change the base of Obi-Wan through the cavernous corridors of a spaceship or even give everything important before it attacks Anakin. Obi-Wan is a rather bland figure that turns into a toy because his costume is virtually the same in all six films, but at least Hot Toys has done something different and made the prequel movies look good again.

While McGregor remains puzzled as to whether he would play the role for the proposed anthology film Obi-Wan again, the character is here to remind everyone how good he was in that role. While Hot Toys is providing a full set of Star Wars memorabilia, a Revenge of Anakin Sith is also on the road, allowing fans to play the legendary Battle of Mustafar again and again.
